Aasaman Nepal (ASN) promotes Program on Immunization by mobilizing the community and encouraging mothers to undertake immunization for their personal health and that of their children. ASN realized that child nutrition is one of the important components to be considered to give momentum and attain the vision of happy and healthy children because they directly affect the future of the children. So, ASN with its resources and support from donors has been working actively in the sector of nutrition since the past.

 

Empowered Woman Prosperous Nepal (EWPN) Project, Reproductive Health and Rights for Accelerating Impacts (RHEA) and Global Programme on Ending Child Marriage (ECM)

  • Implemented Districts:  Dhanusha, Saptari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Parsa
  • Funding Partner: World Food Programme (WFP)
  • Duration: April 2024- December 2024
  • Target Beneficiaries :Women and Children Adolescents, Mother Group.
  • Project Goal:  Enhance the Gender equality, Child right, and empowered the child and women for Prosperous Nepal Strengthen the Sexual and Reproductive health and Right .

Mother and Child Health Nutrition( MCHN) Program

  • Implemented Districts:  Siraha and Saptari
  • Funding Partner: World Food Programme (WFP)
  • Duration: May 2024-May – April 2025
  • Target Beneficiaries: Women and Children 
  • Project Goal:  To improve the Nutritional status of pregnant and lactating Women (PLW) and children 6 to 23 months of age.

USAID Adolescent Reproductive Health Subject (ARH)

  • Implemented Districts: Dhanusha
  • Funding Partner: USAID/ CARE Nepal
  • Duration: December 2022-May 2027
  • Target Beneficiaries: Adolescents, Mother group, Female volunteers, and more. 
  • Project Goal: To support adolescents to reach their full potential and strengthen public systems and private entities to create an enabling environment for healthy ARH behaviors.

     

     

Maternal and Newborn Health Continuum of Care (MNH_CoC) Project

  • Implemented Districts: Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi
  • Funding Partner: Population Service International PSI Nepal
  • Duration: Nov 2022 – Sept 2024
  • Target Beneficiaries: Women of Reproductive Age (15-49yrs) (WRA), mothers and newborn children (28 days).
  • Project Objectives: Increase knowledge of and demand for MNH care and service, and strengthen capacity of government health facilities and providers to deliver quality MNH Services, and strengthen linkages, referrals and follow up for mothers and newborns across the different places and times of care throughout the continuum, and supportive environment for implementation of MNH related activities
Advocacy and Strengthening resilience through LANN : Linking agriculture and natural resources management towards nutrition security

  • Project Objectives: Generate adequate evidence and social norms insight to inform the ongoing vaccination uptake interventions. Promote evidence-based and age-appropriate COVID-19 vaccine-related interventions to the communities to overcome the barrier to vaccine uptake

      1. Preventing malnutrition among children (6-23 months of age), and pregnant and lactating women (PLW),and
      2. Enhancing knowledge of mothers, care takers and community members on optimal nutrition and feeding practices.
