Aasaman Nepal is going to implement Global Programme on Ending Child Marriage (ECM): Empowered Women Prosperous Nepal (EWPN) Project and reproductive Health and Rights for Accelerating Impacts (RHEA), Madhesh Province, in partnership with UNFPA. The overarching objectives of the combined programs (RHEA, EWPN, and ECM) are to enhance reproductive health outcomes, empower women economically and socially, and eradicate child marriage. The integrated approach aims to provide comprehensive reproductive health services, promote gender equity, facilitate women’s economic empowerment through skill development and entrepreneurship, and contribute to the global effort of ending child marriage. These programs collectively strive to create a society where individuals, particularly women and adolescents, have the knowledge, resources, and opportunities to make informed decisions about their health, well-being, and future.

1. Job Title: Program and Operation Coordinator (Nos -1)

Overview:
The Program and Operation Officer based in Janakpurdham will be a key member responsible for providing support in program management and operational activities. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including financial management, journal voucher preparation, budget planning, and financial reporting. The Program and Operation Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of programs and operations in the assigned location.
Responsibilities:
1. Program Support:
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring financially of program activities.
- Collaborate with the program team to ensure effective program execution.
- Provide administrative support for program-related tasks.
2. Financial Management:
- Oversee entire financial management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare journal vouchers accurately, documenting financial transactions.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
3. Budget Planning:
- Contribute to the development of budgets for program activities.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure realistic and effective budget planning.
- Provide input on financial aspects during the planning phase of new projects.
4. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, reflecting the financial status of projects.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Respond to queries and requests related to financial information.
5. Operations Support:
- Provide operational support to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for program events, meetings, and workshops.
- Support in maintaining proper documentation for operations-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience
- Proven experience of at least 5 years with graduation and 3 years with postgraduate in financial management, budget planning, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of financial management processes.
- Strong proficiency in preparing journal vouchers and financial documentation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in relevant software applications, including financial management tools.
- Familiarity with program management and operational support functions.
Competencies:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
Languages: Strong command of Nepali, English, Maithili, Bhojpuri (oral and written) and local language preferred/required.
