Child Rights: The Foundation of Dignity and Protection for Every Child

Child Rights: The Foundation of Dignity and Protection for Every Child

Child rights are not just legal terms — they are human rights that guarantee every child the opportunity to live with dignity, safety, and love. Every child deserves the right to education, health, protection, and care. It is the shared responsibility of both society and the state to ensure that every child grows up free from hunger, fear, and discrimination.

Even today, many children in Nepal are deprived of education, forced into child labor, or pushed into early marriage. To end such injustice, we must uphold the principles stated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) — the right to education, protection, participation, and development.

Together, we can build a society where every child’s voice is heard, their rights are respected, and their dreams are protected. Respecting children’s rights today is the key to a just, compassionate, and prosperous Nepal tomorrow.
