About Aasaman Nepal
Aasaman
Nepal is a national-level, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO)
established in 1999 AD. It is registered with the District Administrative
Office (DAO) Dhanusha [Registration No: 693/055/056], affiliated with the
Social Welfare Council (SWC) [Affiliation No: 10365], and the Inland Revenue
Office, Kathmandu [PAN No: 301419332].
Aasaman Nepal has strong foundations at the local level, working closely with marginalized communities and their institutions, including child rights forums. Over the years, it has demonstrated significant impact on both rights holders and authorities in the areas of Children’s Learning, Protection & Opportunities, Health, Nutrition and Inclusive Wellbeing, Climate Resilience & Sustainable Livelihoods, Women, Youth & Community Leadership and Accountable Governance & Social Justice. Its work is guided by core values: Trust in people’s power and participatory approaches, Respect for local culture and community, zero tolerance for all forms of discrimination and Commitment to a human rights-based approach to development. For the past 27 years, Aasaman Nepal has been dedicated to improving the overall well-being of underprivileged children, girls, and youth, including Muslims, Dalits, Janajati, women, and other marginalized community members.
