Partnership and Collaboration

1. District Education Office

Partnership and collaboration are one of the major strategies of ASN. The main objective of the partnership and collaboration was to mobilize the resources of GoN and synergy of the program to better impact in the targeted communities and beneficiaries. On the basis of it, Aasaman Nepal built the partnership with District Education Offices in its project area this year and mobilized resources (NRs1136989/- )of DEO under literacy campaign program to make literacy program more effective and efficient.

Through this effort, ASN conducted in total 115 literacy classes in 4 VDCs of Dhanusha, Parsa and Baglung districts and literate 2920  (women 2448 and men 472 ) adults. The key roles played by ASN for this assignment were managing and facilitate the literacy classes through organizing training and meeting to FS, regular monitoring of classes, meeting with DEO and line agencies to share the achievements and constraints, reporting to DEO and coordination and communication with concerned DEO and journals.

2. Small Cottage and Industries

ASN increased coordination and communication with small cottage and industries in Baglung to provide vocational training to youths to generate employment for them at the local level. Small cottage and industries (SCI) supported to 26 youths for tailoring and 25 youths for electrician training. For the placement of 10 youths trained with tailoring SCI, Baglung supported 40% of the total amount of Machines i.e. NRs 4200/- to them. Similarly, SCI supported for incentives of instructor (electrician) also.

3. Kusmisera Women Saving and Credit Group

This year, ASN become also able to collaboration its ILED program with Kusmisera Women Saving and Credit Group in Baglung. Kusmisera Women Saving and Credit Group supported 10 tailoring machines to the ILED centre. In total 26 youths were benefited under tailoring trade organized by ASN. It helps the trainee to do more practices at the ILEAD centre.
