Similarly, ASN has played a vital role of coordination in the Regional Level Strategic Planning Workshop organized  by Central Regional Education Directorate from 21st-22nd July 2014 at Vishuwa Hotel, Birganj, Parsa with the support of UNICEF Nepal to improve access to education for out of school children in Terai. In total 115 persons were participated in the workshop from MOE, DOE, NFEC, CRED, UNESCO, UNICEF, NCEN, national level journalist and education experts from central level and DEO, DDC, Municipality, political leaders, INGOs, NGOs, local journalist and NGOs from each district (Saptati, Dhanusha, Mahottrai, Rautahat and Parsa). They sensitized on mainstreaming out of school children of Terai region into formal education and a framework for out of school children developed by participants representing governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), political representatives and the private sector.
